Kefalonia news: information about important events, COVID-19 situation in Kefalonia

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 19 persons were tested positively for COVID-19 coronavirus. None of them was hospitalized, all had non or light symptoms.

 

In Kefalonia, since the beginning of epidemic COVID-19, in total 17 coronavirus cases have been recorded, according to local press reports.

   

All cases are asymptomatic or very mild. Apparently, some of these fifteen people are not in Kefalonia: people only indicated their place of permanent residence as Kefalonia and, accordingly, they were included in the total number of infected in the island.

 

The authorities urge local residents and visitors to the island to comply with all necessary security measures to keep Kefalonia among the least affected by the coronavirus.

 

 

 

The Ainos National Park is closed for everyone till September 18, 2020. The reason for this restriction is high risk of fire.

According to the local press, totally 9 cases of positive test results in Kefalonia. All are asymptomatic or with light symptoms. The persons are on self-isolation.

According to local press reports, totally only 16 people have tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19. All cases are with mild or no symptoms. Foreign citizens are placed in self-isolation in a hotel specially equipped for these purposes. Local residents are quarantined at home.
