If you like a more secluded vacation, walk towards the capital of the island - Argostoli - and choose one of the cozy, miniature lagoons with which the coast abounds.

 

The capital can be reached by bus, taxi or walk along a winding road along the coast. If you get to the embankment of Argostoli before noon, you will be able to admire the giant Caretta-Caretta turtles frolic at the pier, where fishing longboats arrive.
