From
Kefalonia, it can be easily reached by either a ferry arriving in the port of in the village of
Agios Nikolaos (
Schinari)
or plane arriving at the international airport of
Zakynthos. In contrast to Kefalonia unwilling to yield to the pressure of tour-occupation,
Zante is quite tourist-like.
The island is bustling at night and during the day. So, it will probably not disappoint the fans of night life as well as mothers with little children who are guaranteed with great weather and a long strip of coast with soft sand and clear, shallow waters and decent hotel near the beach.
After swimming and sunbathing, visit the Venice fortress located on the slopes of the Mount Bohali, wander through the streets of Zakynthos - the island capital, stroll through the park of Askos in the village of Volimes, admire the creativity of the pottery studio in Vasiliki. For the lovers of wine, it will be interesting to visit the wineries in Kaliniko Kalipado, Oenolpi in Micharado or Komoutis in the village of Agria.

To have the maximal benefit of your vacation, we would advise to spend 3 days on Zakynthos and then go to Kefalonia - to the vastness of great beauty and tranquility of the Greek heartland.
