Description
Kakava Reefs hid on the seabed approximately 300 m to the southwest of the Skala. The depth is less than 4 m and the transparency of the water allows a good view of bottom-scattered “treasures” that once merchant ships transported as cargo. Unfortunately, shallow waters and lack of a lighthouse caused numerous shipwrecks in these places. Wooden hulls have been fully decomposed, whereas such objects as amphorae and anchors that are more resistant to sea water have become part of the seabed.
Due to the transparent bottom of the yacht «Mythos», you can admire the colourful and pretty diverse underwater flora and fauna.
This is short but impressive cruise that gives you an opportunity to touch the hidden treasure of the past that is carefully covered by deep blue Ionian sea waters.
