COVID-19 rules and restrictions in Greece

Information regarding inland Greece flights
 
Domestic air travel is possible on presentation of one of the following documents (valid for all persons over 12 years of age (inclusive)):
 
1) A certificate of vaccination at least 14 days after the end of the process.
Persons vaccinated in Greece can withdraw the certificate on this platform  https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ugeia-kai-pronoia/koronoios-covid-19/pistopoietiko-emboliasmou .
 
Foreign tourists present the same vaccination certificate as when entering the country.
 
2) Certificate (electronic or printed) of negative Covid-19 test (PCR) performed not earlier than 72 hours prior to flight. The PCR molecular test must be performed on a sample from the nasopharynx or mouth and throat. The certificate must contain the name of the person corresponding to the particulars in the travel document.
 
3) Certificate (electronic or printed) of negative RAPID Covid-19 test performed not earlier than 48 hours prior to flight.
 
4) A certificate of recovery from the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection issued by a public authority or a certified laboratory. The certificate is issued 30 days after the day of the first positive COVID-19 test and is valid for 180 days after it.
 
5) Minor passengers aged 12-17 may present a certificate of negative Covid-19 self test performed not earlier than 24 hours prior to flight. The certificate form in Greek and English can be found on this page or by filling in a questionnaire https://self-testing.gov.gr/covid19-self-test-print.pdf
 
Regarding travel by ferry to the Greek islands
 
Inland waterway travel is possible on presentation of one of the following documents:
 
1) A certificate of vaccination at least 14 days after the end of the process.

These requirements do not apply to the following routes:
 
Perama-Paloukia Salamis;
Perama Megaridos - Faneromeni Salaminas;
Couples - Galata Troizino and Rio Antirio;
for all routes to the islands of Evia and Lefkada.
 
According to the current Health Protocols of EODY, all travelers within 24 hours prior to each voyage
 must submit a Shipping Health Statement and have it with them in digital form or printed before boarding the ship. The questionnaire can be filled on this page https://sea.travel.gov.gr/#/
 
Other major restrictions within Greece
 
The use of a protective mask indoors and in places of mass gathering outdoors is obligatory for persons over 4 years of age throughout the country;
 
Only vaccinated or diseased COVID19 individuals (up to 6 months after diagnosis) may sit at tables in catering establishments. This requirement also applies to visitors to entertainment centers, as well as to spectators of sports events both indoors and outdoors.
